Every Neighbor Deserves a Place at the Table
Bridgewater Community Alliance builds food security, mentors young people, supports families facing housing instability, and shows up when emergencies strike. We've been doing this work since 2011 because our neighbors matter.
Rooted in This Community
Bridgewater Community Alliance started in a church basement with twelve volunteers and a single goal: make sure no family in our county goes hungry. Thirteen years later, we've grown into a four-program organization, but the work still feels personal. Every meal packed, every mentoring session, every family housed — it starts with someone showing up.

Four Programs, One Mission
Our work spans food security, youth mentorship, family housing, and emergency relief — because hardship rarely comes in just one form.
Last Year in Our Community
In 2025, our volunteers logged over 47,000 hours — the equivalent of 23 full-time staff members. Together, we distributed 1.2 million pounds of food, matched 340 young people with mentors, helped 89 families avoid eviction, and responded to 14 emergency events.
These numbers represent real people: the grandmother who can fill her fridge on Tuesday mornings, the teenager who finally has an adult in her corner, the family that got to stay in their home.
Meet the People Behind the Work
"I started volunteering at the pantry after I retired. Three years later, I coordinate the whole Tuesday crew. These are my people now."
Margaret Chen — Pantry Volunteer, 3 years
"My mentee and I meet every Thursday. Some days we study, some days we just talk. Last month she got accepted to State. I cried in the parking lot."
David Okonkwo — Youth Mentor, 2 years
"When the flooding hit our block, BCA was at our door the next morning with blankets and food. They didn't ask questions — they just helped."
Rosa Villareal — Community Member
